Under the direction of Lt. Gabriel Rivera, Squad 21 deployed rescue struts to stabilize the overturned vehicle. At the same time, Lt. Jonathan DeJoseph and Engine 23’s crew worked inside the car to safely assist the driver, who had been suspended upside down in the seatbelt.

In the foreground, the Department’s battery-powered Hurst “Jaws of Life” were staged, ready for use, while a Pierce Rescue-Pumper stood by in the background. Fire personnel, outfitted in full protective rescue gear, demonstrated their readiness for any type of emergency.

This incident is a clear reminder that your Danbury Fire Department is fully prepared and equipped to handle any situation.
