Shirley, N.Y. – On August 6th at about 1:20 PM a 9-1-1 call was received by Suffolk Police and Fire Rescue dispatchers for a report of a multi vehicle crash on Northbound William Floyd parkway at the intersection of Robinwood Dr East. Officers of the Suffolk Police 7th PCT were quickly dispatched to the scene as was the Mastic Beach Fire Department and Mastic Beach Ambulance Company.
Dispatch advised fire personnel they had a 3-4 car crash at the location. Assistant Chief Roy Arcuri responded to the scene and found a 3 vehicle MVA at the traffic light. At least 1 of the vehicles had heavy damage in multiple sections of it. Firefighters from Rescue 5-13-4 and from Engine 5-13-9 went to work cleaning up fluids and any debris and ensuring all the vehicles were secure. While the firefighters operated a crew from Mastic Beach Ambulance checked on the occupants and drivers of all the vehicles involved.
