Labor Day BBQs cut short for some Camden County firefighters

At approximately 13:53 hours, on September 1, 2025, Task Force 18 (Oaklyn Fire Department and automatic aid companies) was dispatched to 1015 Maple Avenue for a reported dwelling fire. First units to arrive reported a two story single family dwelling with fire showing from Division A. The working fire signal was transmitted which brought in additional units to assist with fireground objectives. Companies stretched 1 3/4” attack lines to knock the bulk of the fire but fire extended to the second floor where firefighters overhauled to expose the hidden fire, ventilated, and extinguished the fire. The fire was brought under control in about 45 minutes and there were no reported injuries.
