Commercial building fire injures two in Greenville

GREENVILLE, Miss. (Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025) — A fire that engulfed a commercial building on Highway 82 Wednesday afternoon left one civilian and one firefighter injured, officials said.
The Greenville Fire Department was dispatched at 4:32 p.m. to Hub Cap City, where crews found the structure fully involved. Five fire units, Ladder 3 and command staff battled the blaze until it was brought under control.
One civilian sustained burns to his arm and was transported by private vehicle to Delta Health Center. A firefighter was treated on scene with IV fluids for heat exhaustion and cramps, according to the department.
Pafford EMS assisted at the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Greenville Fire Chief Brown thanked firefighters for their service and teamwork in containing the blaze.
