From the coast to the county, the Boothbay Harbor Fire Department has extended a helping hand to fellow firefighters in Mars Hill. On Tuesday, the department donated approximately 2,900 feet of 5-inch LDH hose to support Mars Hill Fire Department’s operations.

The donation will allow Mars Hill to replace sections of LDH that have been in service for more than 35 years. Boothbay Harbor’s contribution ensures their colleagues have the equipment needed to respond safely and effectively.

Special thanks go to Lieutenant Peters, Lieutenant Alley, and Assistant Chief Tilton, who volunteered their time to help load and prepare the hose for its new home.
