Cumberland crews battle structure fire, close Range Road

CUMBERLAND, Maine (Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025) — A structure fire on Range Road shut down traffic for several hours Sunday as firefighters brought the blaze under control, officials said.
The fire was reported near Rangers Way, prompting the closure of Range Road. Crews contained the flames and transitioned to overhaul operations by midday.
By 12:30 p.m., one lane of the roadway had reopened, and all units cleared the scene around 1:15 p.m., the Cumberland Fire Department said.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
