Firefighters battle Division Street blaze in Ansonia

ANSONIA, Conn. (Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2025) — Ansonia firefighters extinguished a blaze on Division Street Wednesday morning that damaged a building but caused no injuries, officials said.
The fire was reported around 7:30 a.m. Car 22 arrived and confirmed a working fire on the city’s west side, according to the Ansonia Fire Department.
Crews laddered the building and deployed two hose lines to bring the fire under control. Searches confirmed no one was inside.
Mutual aid companies assisted on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Ansonia Fire Marshal’s Office.
