Chester, Deep River firefighters train together on aerial operations

CHESTER, Conn. (Monday, Aug. 11, 2025) — Firefighters from Chester and Deep River came together Monday night for joint training focused on ladder truck and aerial operations, officials said.

Deep River firefighters brought their ladder truck to Chester for the exercise, walking members through setup and operation. Crews practiced scenarios designed to strengthen coordination between the neighboring departments.

“Training together strengthens our skills and ensures we’re ready to serve when called,” the Chester Hose Company said in a statement.
