BANTAM, Conn. (Monday, Aug. 11, 2025) — Bantam firefighters conducted a water rescue training Monday night on Bantam Lake, focusing on victim recovery and boat handling skills, officials said.
The drill involved Marine 1 and Marine 2, giving crews hands-on practice in operating rescue boats and refining techniques for safely retrieving people from the water.
The department said ongoing training ensures firefighters are prepared to respond effectively to water emergencies.
