In the afternoon on August 24, 2025 twin Mountain Fire was called to assist Harts Location after a brush fire broke out along the railroad tracks. The blaze involved a large pile of railroad ties and extended into the surrounding forest.
Firefighters from multiple departments, alongside State agencies, battled the flames on steep, challenging terrain. Using hand tools and forestry hose lines, crews were able to contain the fire and prevent further spread.
With dry conditions persisting and no significant rainfall expected, officials caution that the risk of brush fires remains high.
