At approximately 11:50 this morning, Gilsum Fire/Rescue was dispatched to Alstead Hill Road for a reported vehicle fire. Police arrived first and confirmed a fully involved vehicle with exposure to nearby brush.

Engine 1 and Tanker 2 arrived shortly after and crews stretched handlines to begin fire suppression. Due to the heavy fuel load inside the vehicle, extensive effort was required to fully extinguish the fire.

Recognizing the need for additional water supply, Alstead Fire & Rescue was requested to respond with their tanker. Their assistance was vital in bringing the fire under control, and we extend a huge thank you to their team for the support.
