In the afternoon Jackson Firefighters responded on mutual aid alongside Twin Mountain to assist Bartlett Fire Department with a significant fire in Hart’s Location. Flames spread through nearby woods and ignited multiple piles of railroad ties, creating a challenging scene for crews. Firefighters worked tirelessly for more than five hours to bring the situation under control. With conditions remaining extremely dry, the department reminds everyone to stay alert and use extra caution outdoors.
