At about 2:41 p.m. this afternoon, the Attleboro Fire Department was dispatched to North Avenue at Deanville Road for a motor vehicle collision involving a utility pole.

First responders arrived to find a single vehicle with moderate damage. The driver, a 67-year-old woman and sole occupant, had already exited the vehicle with help from bystanders before firefighters reached the scene.

According to officials, the vehicle left the roadway, struck a fence, and then collided with the pole. Crews from National Grid inspected the utility pole and confirmed that no repairs were needed and power service was unaffected.

The driver was evaluated at the scene and transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Attleboro Police Department is handling the investigation into the cause of the crash.
