DEPOSIT, NY — August 18, 2026 —  In order to provide firemen and EMS providers a better understanding of the local infrastructure and facilities prior to an emergency, members of the Deposit Fire Department spent time last week performing pre-incident planning at two places within their response area.

Initially, the teams went to a nearby hotel in the Village of Deposit. The Deposit hotel is listed among nearby accommodation establishments by the Town of Sanford, although the department did not name the hotel.

The second visit was to a newly finished road building project in the Town of Sanford.
