It was an active Saturday for four of our members on Engine 1. At approximately 7:46 AM, the crew responded to Rouses Point, NY, to provide station coverage while their department operated at a structure fire in Champlain.

While standing by at Rouses Point, Engine 1 was dispatched to an agency assist within their district. Shortly after clearing that call, the crew was upgraded and redirected to the Champlain structure fire scene. There, Swanton Fire assisted with extinguishing hotspots and conducting overhaul operations.

Once released from the fire scene, Engine 1 relocated to cover Champlain’s station while their units remained committed to the incident. Swanton Fire was finally cleared to return home around 2:55 PM.
