Thursday, 7 August 2025 – The Bristol Fire Department responded mutual aid to assist the Portsmouth Fire Department at a fire in their town during the afternoon hours.
Car 1, Car 2, Engine 4, and Rescue were dispatched to the scene, working alongside multiple partner agencies to support firefighting operations and provide assistance to the community.
The Bristol Fire Department extended its thoughts to all those affected by the incident and expressed gratitude for the strong teamwork among agencies, including Portsmouth Firefighters, Tiverton Fire Department, Middletown Firefighters Local 1933, Portsmouth Police Department, Bristol Police Department, and the Special Signal Fire Association/Providence Canteen.
Officials emphasized that regional cooperation is vital in handling large-scale emergencies, ensuring that communities receive the resources they need during difficult times.
