GLASSBORO, NJ — August 18, 2026 — After Squad 26 was deployed to multiple working fires in nearby jurisdictions over the course of the preceding week, Glassboro firefighters reported a hectic stretch of replies.

The Glassboro Fire Department claims that during the sequence of events, Squad 26 provided assistance to departments through both automatic and mutual aid assignments.

While Glassboro personnel continued to handle their regular call load at home, the working-fire responders arrived. In between the fire assignments, the department reported responding to numerous other service requests.

In its August 18 summary, the agency did not specify the locations of each working fire, the dates of the individual incidents, or the first-due departments.
