HALEDON, N.J. (Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025) — Firefighters from Community Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 assisted Haledon officials Thursday as the borough worked to manage a water emergency, officials said.
Crews deployed a portable pump to help maintain water pressure for emergency showers set up by St. Joseph’s Health to serve residents affected by the outage.
“These showers are a critical resource during this incident, and our team was happy to lend our equipment and expertise to keep them operational,” the department said in a statement.
Officials said the response highlighted the importance of regional partnerships during community emergencies.
