Mountain Lakes firefighters respond to lightning strike, mutual aid calls

MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J. (Friday, July 25, 2025) — Mountain Lakes volunteer firefighters were dispatched Friday afternoon to a home on Cresthill Road after a reported lightning strike, officials said.
The call came in at 3:20 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Later, Mountain Lakes crews also responded into Boonton Township on mutual aid for a reported electrical fire and a separate smoke condition.
All incidents were cleared without injuries.
