WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (Thursday, July 17, 2025) — Avenel firefighters assisted New Jersey State Police early Thursday with a helicopter landing zone at the Woodbridge Center Mall while crews worked a serious crash on Route 9, officials said.
The accident required a prolonged extrication by Woodbridge Fire Department, according to Avenel Fire Department.
Northstar, the State Police medical helicopter, was used to transport a patient from the scene.
