On Friday August 22nd 2025 a non profit organization named Cops Helping Cops hosted a first responder event at the Centereach Mall Walmart. The event ran from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. The event had attendance from Centereach Fire Department, New York State Police, New York Federal Bureau of Investigation, Suffolk County Fire Rescue & Emergency Service, Suffolk County Police Department, Suffolk County Sheriff's Office.
