Bogota firefighters assist at Hackensack blaze, handle multiple calls

BOGOTA, N.J. (Thursday, July 24, 2025) — The Bogota Fire Department responded to multiple incidents Wednesday, including assisting at a three-alarm fire in Hackensack, officials said.

At 11:30 a.m., Engine 3 and Car 3 stood by at Olsen Park for a helicopter landing in support of the borough youth academy. After clearing the park, Engine 1 was dispatched to Hackensack, where firefighters operated for several hours as the FAST team and assisted with overhaul at a three-alarm blaze.

Later, at 5:57 p.m., Bogota crews were sent to Route 80 for a reported vehicle fire, which was determined to be a motor vehicle crash without fire.

At 1:41 a.m. Thursday, the department responded to a water leak on East Main Street.

No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
