Man airlifted after animal bite in Brigantine

BRIGANTINE, N.J. (Aug. 23, 2025) — An adult man was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital after sustaining non-life-threatening hand injuries from an animal bite late Friday, officials said.
Firefighter/EMTs from the Brigantine Fire and EMS Department’s Delta platoon treated the victim and established a landing zone at 42nd Street Field for the medical helicopter.
Authorities did not release details about the type of animal involved. The man’s condition was not immediately available Saturday.
