After responding to a potential structure fire in neighboring Harrison Township Friday evening, East Greenwich Township Fire & Rescue members spent time training on rural water operations, officials said.
Crews deployed a port-a-pond from the water tender and conducted a simulated water shuttle operation by refilling the pond. The engine company drafted water from the pond to supply hand lines during suppression exercises.
Firefighters drilled for about two hours before returning to the station to clean equipment and wrap up for the night.
