Dennis firefighters rescue cat from tree in Belleplain

Firefighters in Dennis Township came to the aid of a stranded cat Wednesday morning after the animal became stuck high in a tree, officials said.
Crews were dispatched around 7:55 a.m. to the 500 block of Woodbine Avenue for a service call. Ladder 18 responded, and firefighters safely retrieved the cat and returned it to its owner, according to the department.
No injuries were reported.
