Just as crews were preparing for another blistering hot day, a call for a structure came in. One of the responding units reported a smoke column. Units responding were updated that it was a kitchen fire. First unit on scene reported smoke and flames coming from mutable windows. This was a retirement community with extremely narrow roads. The occupant of the duplex apartment was able to make it out without injury. Firefighters made an aggressive attack and kept the fire to the original side of the duplex.
