A fast-moving fire was brought under control late Sunday morning after flames were spotted on the exterior of a home along the 4300 block of Atlantic Brigantine Boulevard, officials said.
The Brigantine Fire Department said crews were dispatched just after 10 a.m. to reports of a possible structure fire. At the time, firefighters were already handling another call — a cooking incident with no damage — when Incident Command redirected to the new location at 4316 Atlantic Brigantine Blvd.
On arrival, firefighters found flames on the outside of the home. The fire was quickly knocked down before it could spread further. Crews from Engine 1 and Truck 1 forced entry, stretched hose lines inside and out, and conducted a search of the residence, confirming no one was inside. Firefighters also checked the attic and soffit for extension and secured the building’s gas and electric utilities.
Atlantic City Electric responded to cut power at the pole, and the scene was later turned over to the homeowner with instructions on next steps.
No injuries were reported. Officials credited alert bystanders with helping limit damage and thanked the Brigantine Police Department and Atlantic City Fire Department for their assistance.
