A car fire in a parking area underneath an auto dealership prompted a second alarm response as flames reached the ceiling of the lower area. Units were sent to 227 N. Dean St. at about 6:40 PM. A car was well involved in a parking lot covered by the dealership, but with open walls to outside. A line was quickly stretched had the fire knocked down before any extension to the building occurred. Autos next to the involved car were also damaged.

Fire units from Teaneck, Tenafly, Hackensack, and Fort Lee assisted at the scene. One firefighter received a hand injury.
