Hinsdale, NY - The Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department, along with multiple mutual aid agencies, responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 200 block of Campbell Road.

Upon arrival, the first arriving chief unit reported no visible fire conditions, with all occupants confirmed safely out of the structure. Crews noted a light smoke condition in the basement and initiated an interior investigation and size-up.

Mutual aid units secured water supply and advanced hose lines as a precaution while primary and secondary searches were prepared. As operations progressed, crews conducted a detailed interior investigation and located a burned power strip, which was identified as the likely source of the incident.

The assignment was held with multiple units remaining on scene to ensure complete investigation, overhaul, and safety checks. Mutual aid partners assisted throughout the response, and no injuries were reported.
