Shirley,N.Y.- On Thursday August 17, 2023 at just after 7:00 PM The Suffolk County Police Along with Brookhaven FD and Shirley Ambulance were alerted to a Vehicle crash on Margin Dr. West near Alcolade Dr. Brookhaven FD 1st Assistant Chief Giuseppe Loiacono{5-3-31} arrived on scene shortly after Suffolk Police 7th Precinct Officers. Chief Loiacono advised he had a vehicle that hit a light pole and requested Rescue 3 and Fire Police to continue into the scene to secure the vehicle.

Upon arrival a crew from Shirley Ambulance went to work to evaluate the driver of the vehicle. The crew put the patient on a stretcher and transported the patient to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The crew from Rescue 3 on arrival assisted police in moving the vehicle off the pole and went to work securing the area until the proper utility company and highway department could come out to make the needed repairs or replacement to the light pole.  Once secured units were released by Chief Loiacono and the scene was turned over to Suffolk Police.
