The caller reported smoke coming from the roof of the structure with no fire visible. Firefighters quickly arrived on scene as central station was only a few blocks away. Firefighters immediately transmitted the signal thirty for a working structure fire as they had smoke showing from the roof and third floor.

Command head firefighters quickly deploy a hand line up to the third floor of the structure. As command was conducting a walk around of the building, he had a moderate smoke condition coming from the third-floor area in the rear. As firefighters made their way to the third floor, they discover they had a working fire. Firefighters quickly began to pull the ceiling area on the third floor and firefighters set up the truck company and made their way to the roof where they began to vent the structure in the rear of the building.
