Wildwood, NJ - City of Wildwood Fire Department units responded to a residential structure fire involving a three-story dwelling, with fire and smoke showing from the attic. All occupants had safely evacuated prior to arrival.
Crews initiated an aggressive interior attack, quickly accessing the attic and knocking down the main body of fire, preventing further extension. Additional companies assisted with overhaul and fireground operations.
One occupant was evaluated on scene, and no significant injuries were reported. The fire was determined to have been caused by a lightning strike, with mutual aid partners assisting throughout the incident.
