Pascoag Crews Responded to Reservoir Boat Fire

Pascoag, R.I. — August 15 — A reported boat fire on Pascoag Reservoir involving a watercraft with a full gasoline tank prompted the Pascoag Fire Department to respond. The fire was swiftly contained and put out by firefighters. Before and throughout the department's arrival, community people helped the occupants safely reach shore. Additionally, residents helped crews by granting access required for operations and equipment.


The event brought to light the difficulties associated with water emergencies, such as scene safety, resources, and access. Although the cause was still being looked into, a report verified that the boat fire happened on Pascoag Reservoir.
