Three-Car MVA with Entrapment in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY - On August 13th, Cronomer Valley FD responded to a three-vehicle MVA with entrapment at 1605 Route 300, in the area of Jeannie Drive. Town of Newburgh Police, New York State Police and Town of Newburgh EMS also responded to the scene.

On arrival firefighters extricated two people from one of the vehicles using the Jaws of Life, who were then transported to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital by Town of Newburgh EMS. Firefighters assisted with injured parties and checked the vehicles for hazards. Cronomer Valley Fire Police stopped all northbound traffic and also shut down Route 300/Route 32 during the incident.

The crash caused one of the vehicles to leave the roadway and travel down hill, coming to a stop in front of the Micron building. Town of Newburgh Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
