Firefighters Respond to Box Truck Struck Under Railroad Bridge

Deposit, NY - The Deposit Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a box truck that became wedged beneath a railroad bridge on Oquaga Lake Road in the Village of Deposit.


Squad 22-1, Midi-Pumper 22, and Pumper-Tanker 22 responded to the scene to assess the vehicle and ensure the area was safe. Firefighters worked to manage the incident and address the hazards associated with the truck becoming lodged beneath the bridge.


The truck operator was evaluated at the scene and was not injured in the incident. The response highlighted the department’s readiness to manage challenging vehicle accidents involving large commercial vehicles.
