Fairfield Firefighters Handle Smoke Condition at Home

The Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department was called to a home on August 13th after it was reported that there was smoke inside.
When Engine 1, Engine 2, and Ladder 1 arrived, they looked into where the smoke was coming from. Inside the house, crews discovered a flaming planter pot and swiftly contained the situation.
Firefighters assessed the area to make sure there were no further dangers and ventilated the house.
The West Essex First Aid Squad, the North Caldwell Fire Department, and the West Caldwell Fire Department all provided assistance on the scene. There were no reported injuries.
