Wernersville, PA. — August 8 — A second-alarm home structure fire on Edgedale Court in Wyomissing Boro prompted the Western Berks Fire Department to respond with Engine 18-1 and Ladder 18. Crews helped with overhaul operations, secondary searches, and fire suppression for the Wyomissing Fire Department and other automatic assistance partners. For the prolonged fireground operation, the assignment supplied more staff and equipment.

Operating out of 111 Stitzer Ave. in Wernersville, Western Berks provided services to a number of local areas. Thru automatic aid and mutual aid actions, the agency frequently collaborated with nearby organizations. After the fireground activities were finished, Western Berks crews finished their assigned tasks and went back into service.
