WEST BABYLON, NY - On August 10th, the Yaphank Fire Department was activated for an automatic fire alarm at Winter Bros garbage transfer plant on Old Dock Road. On arrival of 5-30-30, he had smoke and fire showing. Crews responded in and extinguished all fire, and went back in to service five hours later.
