Mutual Aid Crews Assisted at Entrapment Call

Coraopolis, PA. — July 14 — At a car accident involving entrapment, Coraopolis VFD was sent for mutual aid to help Station 205. One patient's leg was pinned between the dashboard and seat of a garbage truck, but crews from Stations 127, 205, 220, and 244 collaborated to free him. The patient was sent to Valley Ambulance Authority for transportation after firefighters finished the extrication.


According to reports, the patient's injuries were not life-threatening. Several fire departments joined forces for the rescue effort as a result of the coordinated reaction. Before resuming operations, crews stayed on the scene until the patient was taken out and the car area was secured.
