Staten Island, NY - On August 4th, Hurricane Isaias passed over Staten Island, doing major damage to the electrical grid system of Con Edison. A Con Edison outage map showed 37,000 Staten Islanders without power, with an estimated 2,000 downed trees according to the NYC Parks Department. The NYC Office of Emergency Management sent a downed tree task force to the Island.
