On August 7th at 5:10 p.m., the Lower Macungie Fire Department and Engine 7 from the Emmaus Fire Department, along with Macungie EMS, were dispatched for a dwelling at 105 South Church St. in the borough of Macungie. Crews arrived on the scene and had nothing showing. After an investigation was conducted, it was found that the house had been struck by lightning and that some electrical wiring had melted.
