Chippewa, PA - The Chippewa Township Volunteer Fire Department responded with first-alarm mutual aid companies to a residence on Turnpike Avenue after reports of heavy smoke filling the home.

Upon arrival, firefighters were advised that smoke was coming from the basement. Crews quickly located the fire and began suppression efforts, successfully containing the fire to the basement and preventing it from extending into the remainder of the residence.

Multiple mutual aid departments assisted with the response and operations at the scene. The rapid actions and coordinated efforts of the responding crews helped limit the fire and prevent further damage to the home.
