At 10:54 am, Limerick Fire Dept was dispatched for a fire alarm at the Copperfield Inn on W Ridge Pike. Chief 51 investigated and found smoke in the basement. The initial fire alarm was redispatched and upgraded to a building fire. Engine 51, Ladder 51, Tower 51, Rescue 51, Air 51, and Fire Police 51 responded. Additional units included Ladder 77, Traffic 77, Squad 58, Tanker 66, and Engine 66. Crews arrived and investigated. Fans were set up for ventilation.
