Westmere, NY - The Westmere Fire Department responded to a rescue incident on Crossgates Mall Road involving vehicles in rising floodwaters.
Upon arrival, crews located two vehicles, one of which was fully submerged. Firefighters quickly entered the water to conduct a search, confirming the submerged vehicle was unoccupied while identifying a second vehicle with one occupant inside.
Through a rapid and coordinated effort, crews safely removed the individual from the vehicle and floodwaters without injury.
