Just before lunch Southern Manatee Fire District was Dispatched to a report of a fire across from there Station #1. On arrival a large mulch pile had a deep-seated fire. Companies laid a LDH line and put the Ladder Truck in operation. Florida Forestry responded but was unable to assist with a Tractor Plow unit, but will monitor the fire during the week.
