Additional first responder safety is on the way to the Tampa Bay area First Responders! Pasco County Fire Rescue, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, Hernando County Fire Rescue, Tampa Fire Rescue, and Plant City Fire Rescue gathered in Tampa to inspect brand new ballistic vests that just arrived. The vests are one size fits most and will be placed on all our engines and rescues.

Firefighters will utilize the vests when responding to volatile scenes and offers an additional layer of protection while working in the warm zone to save lives. The vests had no cost to departments in the region and were funded through a regional grant.

Thank you to everyone who worked hard to bring this life-saving equipment to our bay area responders!
