Savannah, GA - The Savannah Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 1400 block of Vassar Street after reports of smoke showing.

Upon arrival, crews initiated fire suppression operations and worked to bring the incident under control. The fire was later determined to have been caused by a lightning strike.

All occupants safely exited the home prior to firefighter arrival. One adult was displaced as a result of the incident.
