On the afternoon of July 15, 2025, Concord Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at an apartment building on Manchester Street. Engine 7 arrived on scene with smoke and fire showing and crews immediately began a fire attack while conducting a primary search, following reports of individuals possibly trapped inside. Upon arrival, the battalion chief struck a second alarm, summoning mutual aid from departments across the Capital Area. Firefighters remained on scene for over an hour to fully extinguish the blaze. Tragically, one resident lost their life in the fire. During the incident, Concord fire stations were staffed by mutual aid companies.
