Propane Tank Explosion Damages 2 Homes and Boat in Fall River

FALL RIVER, MA - Shortly before 11:00 P.M. on July 27th, firefighters responded to a report of a brush fire between two houses 245 Wood Street. When Car 3 arrived on scene he reported a large brush fire threatening the exposures. Within seconds of that transmission, Chief Furtado reported that a 20-pound propane cylinder had exploded, and to dispatch another pump. Members on scene were able to knock down the heavy fire conditions, but not before the exteriors of two houses and a boat were damaged.
