Chippewa, PA - The Chippewa Township Volunteer Fire Department responded with mutual aid companies to a reported attached garage fire in the Glenwood Estates area.
Upon arrival, command confirmed a working fire, and initial suppression efforts were made using a water can to quickly knock down the bulk of the flames. Engine 22, arriving as the first-due apparatus, deployed an attack line to complete extinguishment and began overhaul operations while checking for extension into the residence.
Due to the rapid and coordinated response of all crews, the fire was successfully contained to the garage, preventing damage to the main structure. Firefighters operated on scene for approximately one hour before the incident was placed under control.
